On Friday, I was able to attend the Clyde Hill Community Celebration & Movie Night. Special thanks to the City Administration and Police for making the experience memorable. While the kiddies had so many choices for play, it was a great opportunity to meet new people and catch up with friends. As I headed home, I wondered if there was a way to expand the annual celebration of Clyde Hill – for sure keep the stuff we had on Friday night – but how about a 3K run/walk, maybe a little car show, maybe a pickleball tournament at the tennis courts, and if the permits would allow maybe a wine/beer garden thing. Probably a lot of other and better ideas too. These events can be a force multiplier for community pride and unity.
