To those keeping score at home, there have been questions about conflicts. Some (ok ok, maybe just someone) claim that “prior, current and future councilmembers” have/might have conflicts or have a master plan to change the City Code so that a personal goal can be achieved. I believe that the residents of Clyde Hill, including “prior, current, and future councilmembers”, have WAY too much integrity for that sort of behavior – so I reject the premise.

As for me – as a CPA I grew up in a regulated environment – us beancounter types are all about integrity, high ethics, staying objective and independent – 40 years of this, so this is part of my DNA. And, this includes conflicts of interest – based on my background I have an excellent ability to identify a conflict and then do the right thing – report the conflict and then resolve the conflict which might mean recusing yourself from the discussion etc.

Lastly, I can affirm that I have no conflicts with the Mayor, City Council or City Administration, nor do I have business relations or dealings with them. In addition, I have no open matters that involve City business, anything related to the Code, or anything actually. And, no secret master plan, lol.
